We had a great Thanksgiving day. Good food, I stayed well within what I wanted to eat, didn’t over do it. I had some mashed potatoes and gravy (vegan!) recipe can be found under the Salisbury Steak Vegan Style, green beans, some stuffing, cranberry (wasn’t vegan, but was delicious (had a little sour cream)) and a small piece of sweet potato pie. I’m going to make a vegan version of this. So, all in all I stayed vegetarian, and that is terrific!

My camera is off on vacation with our daughter, Rosemary, to New York, so sorry, no pictures, but when I get home I’ll try to take some of the pictures we took from the day and put them on here.

Now to Black Friday! I’m not sure why they call it that, unless that is when most stores go into the black for the year, but I was out there with everyone else. This is not something I usually do, but my daughter, Jenny, lives for this day, so I went out with Jenny, her husband, Keith, and my mother, Gladys! Keith took my mom home about 2:30 a.m. We went to Value City first because they opened at 12:00 midnight, and they had a nice top coat that my son-in-law wanted. We finished shopping there by 12:30 and got in line to pay…..we finally made it to the register at 3:40 a.m. Can you believe that? The other stores were opening at 4:00 a.m., so the rush was on! We got some great deals that day, I had a great time hanging out with my daughter and son-in-law and slept for about 3 1/2 hours later that day. I was happy to go to bed Friday night!

Okay, going shopping with my mom today, so I’ll write more tomorrow.

Happy, Healthy Eating
