Just a little peek of what we ate on this first day of 2009. What was most important follows. . .
Over the years Jackie and I have become more interested in celebrating the New Year and the possibilities it brings, than celebrating the past. Combine that with the importance we feel about family and friends, Jackie’s love for cooking, and it just makes the idea of a January 01 Brunch with family and friends to help us welcome the new year, just seem like the perfect thing to do. . .
I thank everyone who took the time to share the first day of 2009 with us. Happy New Year!

Thanks, Ken for starting the posts for 2009!
We did have a wonderful time and we have heard from some of the people who were here and they had a wonderful time also.
I’m not sure how Ken didn’t get pictures of all the food, but he made a delicious pan of “Vegan” cinnamon rolls, everybody couldn’t stay out of them. We also had a Breakfast Casserole out of the Sheckells Family cookbook and Grand Marnier French Toast. It was a delicious brunch. I couldn’t have done it without Ken though. He is an excellent partner in the kitchen. Not only did he cook, but he kept the dishes done up too!
Thank you everybody for coming out to celebrate with us. And, if you want to be on the invitation list for next year, let us know on here! We’d love to fill the house!
