The start of the second week. We are looking forward to it. I LOST 6 POUNDS!!!!! Ken lost 3 pounds! For once I lost more than him, that never happens! I can also tell I lost a bunch of inches. Clothes I wore just 2 weeks ago are hanging on my hips. It’s wonderful!
So, I mentioned in the post before this one that I was making some changes for this week. I am only going to drink an 8 ounce smoothie, but I’m going to pack that smoothie full of spinach. I drank 8 ounces this morning and I was still very satisfied and full all morning long.
Midmorning: 8 ounces of carrot, apple and celery juice
Lunch: Instead of fruit I had a taco salad minus the taco meat and cheese. So, I had a salad with tomatoes, jalapeños and avocado. I had a small apple with it. Ken had apples today for lunch.
Midafternoon: 8 ounces of carrot and beet juice. Ken makes these juices for us in the morning before I go to work (I know, isn’t he great?), and he told me tonight that he accidentally put in one little sliver of apple and some celery in our afternoon juice. That’s okay. It was delicious!
Dinner: Was supposed to be a baked potato with a spinach salad. I steamed some Yukon gold potatoes and corn-on-the-cob, and sautéd some spinach. We also had a greens salad with sunflower seeds and raisins.
As you can tell, I’m very tired, so I’m closing off early tonight. I’m not used to working all day. Well, I usually work all day, just not using my brain all the time!
All in all it was a very wonderful day.
