1 Week is Finished

7 days have passed. I can see changes in my body, changes in the way the outfit looks on me I put on this morning. I’m going to weigh in a little bit, so I’ll update you tonight on whether there was any weight loss or just inch loss. Don’t get me wrong, I will take inch loss too!

I am noticing some other things also, so I’m having to make some adjustments. I’ve never had smoothies this many days in a row without interrupting it with some oatmeal or whole grain bagel or something. I’ve also never just had fruit for lunch. So, this all being fairly new to me, I didn’t know how my body would react and it is reacting. The thing that just keeps coming back to me is that I’m eating a lot of fruit; more than usual on an every day basis, and without a lot of other foods to go with them. So, I’m experiencing some urinary tract stuff. Not fun! Now, I apologize if that offends some of you, however, if I don’t tell you what is going on with me, you might not know what to do if it happens to you, right? Right! Also, some might think it is the vegetable juices we are juicing, however, I have juiced every day and not had these issues I am having right now.

I’m writing about day 7 right now though, so I’ll write later today about day 8 and the changes I have made beginning this morning.

Breakfast was our regular smoothie. It, once again, was delicious. I do love them!

Midmorning: 8 ounces of carrot and beet juice

Lunch: Raw applesauce, as much as you can eat. I ate about a cup. It was delicious.

Midafternoon: 8 ounces of carrot juice

Dinner: Leftovers. I laughed last night at the dinner table and told Ken that I’m not sure how many people Rhonda Malkmus’ recipes feed (her book “Food For Life”), I assumed they were for 2 people since it is just her and Rev. Malkmus, however, we have so many leftovers I think she wrote the recipes for the restaurant!

The Lentil/Barley Stew from the other day was our main course along with some agave sweetened cornbread and a big beautiful salad that had shredded carrots, green peppers, green onions and artichoke hearts topped with, of course, lemon juice and alive extra virgin olive oil. I also had some sweet potatoes left over that I sautéd in some Earth Balance. I let them blacken just a bit. Yum, Yum. I love leftover dinners.

Such an enjoyable day!

Happy, Healthy Eating
