Jackie,
The other day at the club we were talking about the recipes that we’ve been trying and our shared love of Indian food. I told you that at home Kelly and I cook a lot of Thai style dishes, but really wanted to learn some recipes for our favorite Indian dishes. I purchased an Indian cookbook several years ago that has some of these recipes in it, but it’s packed away at the moment. Besides, some of the recipes in the book read a bit too much like stereo instructions for this Southern girl. Admittedly, I’ve learned a lot about other cultures over the years and their cooking styles but Indian ingredients and their purposes have alluded me. For years Kelly and I have hoped that someone would offer an Indian cooking class in the area. Either we haven’t found it or can not afford it. The other weekend on a whim, having dined at Kashmir, I conducted an internet search. To my amazement I found a lovely Indian grandmother named Manjula that hosts a cooking blog through Youtube. I thought that you and some of your readers might be interested. By the way she was raised vegetarian/vegan so her recipes should hold muster. I’ll give the link to her youtube site and her webpage.

Beth:
Thank you so much for this link. I too love Indian food, but find it sometimes hard to accomplish. We’ll have to get together and go to Kashmir for lunch or dinner. I’ve never been there, but look forward to going.
