We have had soup for 5 days in a row! I was practicing spicy soups for the challenge and just got caught up in it!
Here are a couple more we’ve had. They were delicious!
Sunday:
We had Spicy Butterbean Soup, that was just simply out of this world. Sometimes there is just nothing better than a pot of beans. Ken and I both loved this soup. It is very easy to make. If you forget to put your beans on to soak the night before. Just put them on to soak in the morning for at least 4 hours. They should be good to go.
And, then there was Saturday:
Potato, Leek & Spinach Soup. This is truly a comfort food, the wonderful taste of nutmeg in this soup..there are just no words to describe. It was like, when your mom used to put your socks on you under the covers because the floor was cold and you got to stay wrapped up in the warm blanket. I know, it’s supposed to be spring, but we’ve had a few days of rain and colder temperatures here!
Now, if it is getting to warm for you to have soup, at least save this page so you can try them this fall and winter.

Hi Jackie,
Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. Glad it brought me to yours as well! And I’m glad you loved the soup–it’s one of our favorites over here.
Ricki:
We did love the soup. I’ll have pictures up here of it this weekend and I’ll link the recipe to your site. You’ve a great site and you write so eloquently. I loved the time I spent on your blog. I am definitely not a writer, but I love to cook!
They look delicious and seem very easy to make. Both of these soups are a slight variation of the potato and butterbean soups I’ve ate since childhood. Comfort food indeed.
