The Eat Air website (their link is in my weblogs on the left) has issued a challenge for men to cook vegan foods, since most of the blogs and cooking that is done on the web is done by women. I wanted to showcase Ken’s efforts to make foods for us. Usually when I tell him, “Dinner is on you tonight”, he says “Chinese”! We can get some great tofu dishes at our little Chinese restaurant here in Georgetown. They do a great job with the food!
So, the first time we made kimchi, we did it together, even though Ken did most of the work, he didn’t do it all. The next 3 times we did kimchi, Ken did it all by himself and a great job he did also! So here are the pictures of his process:
Pretty stuff, huh? And tastes so good and so good for you.
If you aren’t up to making Kimchi for yourself, you should at least get some, that you know is made with good stuff, and try it. You can get it at Asian Supermarkets and most health food stores. If you have digestion issues, it is great for the tummy and intestines!
Happy, Healthy Eating!

My family is a big fan of cabbage. My Mom has always sworn that it’s great for digestion issues and an icky tummy. Two of our families classic cabbage dishes are fried cabbage(non-vegetarian) and cabbage rolls. I recently started using cabbage as a main ingredient in Asian pork dumplings and stir fry that uses the same marinated filling. The pork in these recipes could easily be substituted with tofu.
